About

Passers-by

2021 – 2023 Artworks painted from snap shots taken at train stations from the travelers. I show these passers-by and the days of my life on the walls of my studio, gallery or museum. This series also contains monochromes and diary fragments.

Starring

2019 – 2020 A series of paintings inspired by movies:
Obsessed with film images I made hundreds of photos of film scenes and translated these into a new language. Actors have an extraordanairy physical expression. These artworks show man in different situations of existance.

Self portraits
In recent paintings I worked with a special oil paint recipe which combines different resins. This provides enormous color strength,  durability, and greater clarity and transparency.

2017 – 2019 With this new painting technique I made a number of ‘Self-Portraits as a traveler and painter’, a reflection on my artistic life.

Vocals by

2010 – 2016 Because of my fascination with music I started to paint a series of abstract portraits on music. I put the power of various pop singers on canvas, using the movement of my body with oil paint in black and white or bright colors.

Working Abroad

To experience different cultures is valuable for me as an artist:
1997 – 2000 I painted portraits, street scenes and landscapes during various trips to  Egypt, Greece and India, which led to new figurations and abstract landscapes.

Two of these paintings have been awarded with the Euregion Art Price 2001, Rijn-Maas-Noord NL / D. The work was regarded original, innovative and authentic.

Je Suis à la gare

1993 – 1997 I painted at ten different train stations in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. This project entitled ‘Je suis à la gare’ resulted in several exhibitions, at home and abroad.

The archive, wich now contains more than 97.000 pieces of work, always expands. All my artworks are numbered and related to each other. It is an autobiography which shows my life as a total work of art.
